To my black friends…
I’m sorry.
I don’t understand.
I have no way of understanding.
I will never understand.
I’m sorry.
I wish I could hug you – you know I like to hug. ☺️
Please know I see this, I hear you, I read your posts, I’ll do my part to speak on behalf of injustice. (Not always publicly on social media because that’s a hot mess). But I know it doesn’t heal the emotions of sadness, frustration and anger.
Praying for complete transformation of the HEART and MIND for individuals who see black people doing life and something rises up in them. That – that has to change.

*edited to include this post and words are from the heart and mind of Jennifer Cofer, as I woke up reading headlines on May 7. If you copy/share -which I hope you do, please tag me. It’s crazy this post is resonating with so many people. I pray it spurs empathy, understanding, listening ears, better neighbors, conviction of past behavior, and change with how we treat each other in the present and future.
